About Anita
Anita brings to her practice her love of Reiki and Reflexology and a desire to share the benefits with others. She is committed to helping clients build good health, and experience greater ease in life.
Anita retrained as a Reflexologist following a career as an educator and researcher in higher education. She left this career to pursue her interest in natural approaches to healing, and in search a more grounded, less stressful life. She was attracted to Reflexology from her experiences as a client while pregnant with her second child. This pregnancy followed a long period of personal work dealing with trauma. Anita was drawn to its gentle non-invasive nature, yet powerful effects.
In Reflexology and Reiki, the body is guided to heal itself. Each offers an holistic approach to health, encompassing a concern for the body, mind and the spirit. These therapies can stand alone, or alongside other forms of natural medicine and western medicine.
Anita’s first step towards a life in natural therapies was to complete Reiki levels 1 and 2 in 2008/9.
In 2020, Anita qualified as a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui Method, with Martine Salerno at Blue Angel Reiki Centre, Melbourne, and plans to introduce others to Reiki in workshops in 2021/22.
Anita holds a Diploma in Reflexology (2014),is a Professional Member of the Reflexology Association of Australia (RAoA), and observes the standards of professional conduct set out in the RAoA Code of Ethics, and the National Code of Conduct for Health Professionals. In addition to her Reiki and Reflexology qualifications, Anita holds a Masters and PhD in Adult Education from UTS.
Outside of work, Anita practises Classical Indian Hatha yoga, she sings in a jazz band, and is mother to 2 grown daughters. Anita holds French citizenship and counts Arles as her second home. Elle se debrouille en francais!
